Mexican women are not scamming honest men just to get a hold of a US visa.

It's a popular myth that somewhere south of the border, Mexican women are engaged in the green card lottery and good, unsuspecting men looking to find a wife among droves of beautiful Latina women in Mexico are callously being used like donkeys for illegal immigration. Some people actually think that Mexican women are trying to get past the US-Mexico border via international marriages.

That's simply absurd.

Mexican women are not biding their time, waiting for men to fall in love with them just to get green cards. A spousal visa is a hard item to obtain--for both the man and the woman--without considering how interracial dating and dating around the world in general can be a taxing, difficult thing--there are cross-cultural differences that need to be overcome and frequent miscommunication, the smallest of which can even lead to rejection or mistrust of international dating.

Mexican women have it hard enough trying to stand out among countless women actively engaging in speed dating events to find a man they can guaranty a match with, without thinking of how to con one for a free flight out of Mexico City to the USA.

Singles tours are not just chances for men to find their future spouses, it's also a chance for Mexican women to find their future husbands--that is not to say that there aren't Latina women out there that don't dream of using that connection to dupe single men out of their money--but imagining that all Latina women attending meet and greets are thinking of a million different ways on how to swindle men is outright cynical.

Illegal border crossings do occur, but they do not happen through dating a Mexican woman or finding a beautiful Mexican wife.

Love beyond borders does exist, but it only can if you tune out the contrarian noise.
